Last weekend, my team and I conducted a brand survey in Worksop for a global advanced engineering client. You couldn't meet friendlier people - but the local economy has suffered since the close of the pit. Young people have taken to crime.
Coming from a market town myself, there is a massive step change to the wider global economy if the local economy has no foundation. Towns need to feel proud.
