This week’s weak political leadership debates have dominated headlines with party messaging that is so bad, it makes business advertising look good.
Almost.
This week’s corporate ad gems were found in the FT this morning.
1. SEB
First up, it’s Swedish bank, SEB. Where this one is going, I don’t know…
This reads more like a ‘save the whale’ ad as if banks were becoming an endangered species. The photo looks like something from Thunderbirds.
2. EY
This is about layout. With the combination of flawed desktop display on a mobile device, its paid ad space has been wasted. Now try reading the copy. It will make your eyes hurt.
3. PWC
If you didn’t need a stiff drink this evening, you probably do now. This message is up there with an England football match for its flare and creativity.
Surely these brands can score more points?
