The AI Leadership Hackathon.

Built for your next away day.

Is your board ready for AI? The hackathon is a one-day sprint that gets boards and leadership teams fluent in AI and clear on the decisions they need to make. Your team leaves with its own AI agents, a shared view of what to do with AI and a set of decisions scored against the AI risk register. Chaired by Dan Ilett and delivered by a bench of CIOs and AI practitioners from The Executive Summary and the City CIO Club.

The day runs as six rounds. Each one ends in something your team has built, decided or scored, and every idea is tested against safety, productivity and value.

Value Productivity Safety
  • Value. Customer, employee and investor experience.
  • Productivity. Remove the mundane and get better output.
  • Safety. Data governance, cyber security, a risk register and named owners.
01

Get your own AI agent

Every member of the team builds one and works with it for the rest of the day.

02

Start a new brand

Take it to market using AI, from idea to first customer, before lunch.

03

Learn safety at scale

From the people who run it inside large companies, and what it means for yours.

04

Find the productivity gains

Department by department, the ones that return the investment first.

05

Build your AI value proposition

What your company will sell, to whom and why, once AI is in the product.

06

Score every idea

The AI Strategy Triangle puts each one against safety, productivity and value, and the team decides.

Who delivers

Practitioners, not lecturers.

Dan Ilett

The faculty is drawn from The Executive Summary and the City CIO Club, the invitation-only network for senior technology leaders. It is led by its founder, Dan Ilett, formerly commercial transformation director at a FTSE technology business and before that a Financial Times journalist.

The frameworks come from three years of writing The Executive Summary, and they get tested on 6,000 readers before they get taught.
